Girl Guides and Girl Scouts met the High-level Panel on post-2015

Girl guides and Girl Scouts from the UK, Phillipines and Nigeria met the UN Secretary General's High-level Panel (HLP) of Eminent Persons on Post 2015 Development Agenda (after the Millenium Development Goals, MDG's). Four young women were part of the 23-strong delegation of young people that met with the HLP on 2 November 2012. They shared their priorities for the new framework that will succeed the MDG's, speak on household poverty, which will be the focus on the HLP in London and offer their solutions.

The Panel is composed of 26 eminent persons, including representatives of governments, private sector, academia, and civil society. It is co-Chaired by the UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
