Represent WAGGGS at The Commission on the Status of Women

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the body that focuses on gender equality at the United   Nations. Every year, representatives of UN Member States gather to evaluate progress on gender equality, identify challenges, set global standards and formulate concrete policies to promote gender equality and advancement of women worldwide.

This year Member States will come together to discuss the ‘Elimination and Prevention of violence against women and girls’. This is an important opportunity for WAGGGS to showcase the Stop the Violence campaign and all the incredible work our Member are doing on this issue. 

This event will take place in New York, USA from 4 – 15 March 2013. CSW 57 Deadline = 15th September 2012. WAGGGS kommer att åka med en delegation till New York, mer information om det hittar du här och anmälningsblanketten hittar du här. Om du vill åka skickar du alla blanketter till international.secretary@scout.se med lite marginal innan den 15:e. Det är för att vi ska kunna göra ett urval i Sverige innan vi skickar vidare de vi tror har störst chans att få åka. Det är klart att du ska prova!
